Relax and Rejuvenate

Image
Happiness varies from person to person. For you it could be a run or just watching netflix. But for me, happiness is soaking in a hot tub with bath bombs and sea salt. Accompanied with a glass of wine and a good book, after another exhausting day at work. I presume that many will find this a waste of time and water. I cannot debate on the water part. But I am sure that this is one of the most relaxing experiences ever.  For me a bath is not just getting cleaned up. But it is the feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation at a low price, in the luxury of my own bathtub. It helps my muscles relax and increase circulation. Many times I light a few candles with jazz music which helps me practice mindfulness when I happen to not read. I pay extra attention to my feet as they deserve the pampering after a whole week in heels.  Click here for more options After a soak in my tub of relaxation, I proceed to look up different styles of bath mats, shower curtains and other decorative items for my bat

Morning Walk To A Korean Temple

Image
Recently I decided to take on a new course for my morning walks.  A near by Buddhist temple has become my good to place.   There are about 900 Buddhist temples in Korea and usually nestled in a natural environment. The temples are mostly made of wood with detailed colorful artwork on its exterior and interiors.  The only sound here is that of birds and leaves rustling in the cool autumn wind.  The calmness is a soothing balm and an attempt to find your true self. These walks to the temple have become my journey in pursuit of happiness. Inside these walls I can let go of the world outside and find my true self.  Feel free to share how you explore your true self and what’s your path to happiness.

Emerald - A Symbol Of Truth And Love

Image
Through ages Emerald has been considered a symbol of truth and love. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed it to be the gemstone of goddess Venus.  Thousands of miles away the Incas also held emerald in reverence. The Egyptians considered it to be the source of eternal life. Emerald Green Velvet Pyramid Pouch - An ode to the Egyptian architecture and reverence for the color In apparel, accessories or decor, this color is certainly a bold choice. The color has rich and deep tones that add luxe layer to a decor.  Emerald green is also a great choice for the bedroom. It can be the upholstery color for your headboard or can be layered into your bedding. Handmade Emerald Green Velvet Pick Stitch Quilt If you are more of a cautious decorator, add this bold color in moderation through some small lumbar pillows on your couch or bed.  A few emerald green accessories and art pieces around your home can easily work magic. Whether it is just a few small touches or an entire wall in your favorite

Tucked Away At Home

On a cold winter evening of February 2020 my teenage daughter and I boarded a flight to Seoul.  We were to visit my husband who had been working and living in South Korea for almost a year.  It was a much needed time for our family. Little did we know that this flight would change our lives for a long time.  Within a week the Pandemic in South Korea reached its peak.  Soon all national borders were closed. The Covid cases increased each day.  Work got tougher for my husband who had to keep production going across sites. He was at work for really long hours. Our week long vacation turned into a no ticket back home situation.  We were three people tucked away in a small service apartment in an equally small industrial town. It sure was a cold dark winter of 2020. Help and smiles comes from unexpected places.
