10 Decorating Trends for Summers

With the advent of warmer weather, it's time to pass on the black and darker colors. The joyful mood and shades of summer ought to reflect in your environment. You can opt for a neutral color palette with throw pillows in ivory, white, light taupe, oatmeal, beige or light gray. If bold and vibrant is your mantra then tries vivacious sunshine yellow are citrus orange shades to create a summery vibe. For a beach home the traditional blue and white stripes are a go-to.

Completely mirror a wall or add a decorative mirror opposite the windows to bring in the light, make your room feel more significant, and add light to dimly lit corners and spaces. When it comes to decorating your room with mirrors, the placement of the mirror is the key. Apart from the placement, think about the style of the frame and the appearance of the glass. While finding the appropriate leafy option for your lighting conditions might seem confusing. Think of the amount of light you get in the room and how much time you have for the green kids. Some easy (let's say get it and forget it) to maintain options are - Hoya macrophylla, Aurora, Dieffenbachia, Peace lily and spider plant. To keep them strong and healthy show them sunlight every 2-3 days or best place them near a sunny window. You can also give them a healthy dose of plant food and the right amount of water.
